Lesson Outline:
- Introduction (5 minutes)
• Start with a quick discussion: “What is culture?”
• Prompt students to think about culture beyond just traditions or artifacts. Highlight that culture includes language, values, norms, symbols, and behaviors.
2. Video 1: Defining Culture (10 minutes)
• Clip: Culture – CrashCourse Sociology #2 (about 10 minutes)
• Discussion:
• After the video, ask students: “What are the main components of culture according to this video?”
• Discuss examples of symbols, language, values, and norms students observe in their daily lives.
