Worsened by pandemic-related delays in accessing elective diagnostic and treatment methods, the National Health Service (NHS) waiting list for elective care is growing rapidly. Neither hard work nor money alone can completely solve the growing backlog.
Instead, the NHS can take a bold mission to reinvent care by giving staff of providers the freedom to govern, incentives, data and tools, best practices to develop system-wide solutions at the micro-battle level.
